- [Brenda Denise Woodard](https://freeway-phantom.com/cases/brenda-woodward/) - 18-year-old Brenda lived with her family in Baltimore, Maryland, along Maryland Avenue. Brenda was outgoing and enjoyed spending time at local restaurants with friends after school. On November 15, 1971, Brenda was taking night classes at a Cardozo High School. She and a classmate had dinner then rode the bus together until she transferred to another bus headed home. Brenda never made it. Approximately six hours later, in the early morning hours of November 16, Brenda’s body was discovered near Route 202. This time, the killer left a note.
- [Nenomoshia Yates](https://freeway-phantom.com/cases/nenomoshia-yates/) - 12-year-old Nenomoshia or “NeNe” was a shy and quiet 6th grader at Kelly Miller Junior High School. She lived with her father and step mother in Northeast Washington, D.C. On October 1, 1971, Nene’s family sent her to a grocery store less than one block from the Yates home. She never returned. Less than three hours later, her body was found just off the shoulder of Pennsylvania Avenue in Prince George’s County, Maryland by a Hitchhiker.

She grew up in a large and loving family in Halley Terrace. She was a senior at Ballou High School in Washington, D.C. On September 5, 1972, Diane headed to her boyfriend’s house. When it was time for her to leave, he walked her to the bus stop, not far from the location where Carol Spinks and Darlenia Johnson were abducted. She was last seen boarding the bus. Her body was later discovered alongside I-295.
- [Carol Denise Spinks](https://freeway-phantom.com/cases/carol-spinks/) - 13-year-old Carol was one of 8 children and has an identical twin sister. Her family lovingly called her “Bay Bay”. She lived with her mother in their Congress Heights neighborhood and was in her 7th grade year at Johnson Junior High School. On April 25, 1971, Carol left home to go to the store just a half-mile away. A neighborhood boy saw her walking home with groceries. That is the last time that she was seen alive.

She worked part time at the local recreation center and was enjoying her summer spending time with friends in July of 1971. She lived in the Congress Heights neighborhood, where Carol Spinks also lived, and walked past Carol’s house to get to work each day. On July 8, 1971, Darlenia left home and never returned. Her body was found 11 days later.

She had a close knit group of friends that she enjoyed spending time with.On July 27, 1971, Brenda’s mother sent her to a Safeway 5 blocks from their home to pick up food for their three dogs. Brenda never made it home, but later that night, she called home twice. Heavy footsteps were heard in the background. Brenda said "I'll see you" and then the line went dead. She was never heard from again. 8 hours later, a hitchhiker discovered Brenda's body alongside U.S. Route 50.
